goodbye sophomore life

time to say goodbye to my sophomore life and hello to a new chapter to be unfold: Junior High

ughh . second year highschool's over, goodbye to my beloved adviser and section. I'll miss you all! :* we've made so many memories in just a year and that's amazing. For sure, I won't forget the times when our section would always be called by many teachers as the "worst" section, when almost all of our subject teachers got mad at us one at a time, my classmates going so often at discipline office, late commers, the teachers day "cake" issue, and some of my classmates busy chatting about some issues concerning our batchmates, and?? there's so much more .. ! :D I had soo much FUN and now I made no regrets :)) thanks blessed simon of cascia, I love y'all .

Remember Me

Remember Me is a 2010 American romantic drama film directed by Allen Coulter based on an screenplay written by Will Fetters. The film stars Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin and Pierce Brosnan.

The story is about:

In New York City in 1991, an 11-year-old girl named Ally Craig witnesses the murder of her mother on a New York City Subway platform, on the F line at the 18th Avenueand Mcdonald Avenue elevated station in Brooklyn. She is shot in the chest by two muggers trying to rob her. Years later, Ally (Emilie de Ravin) is a student at New York University who lives at home with her overprotective detective father, Neil (Chris Cooper).

Ten years later, Tyler Hawkins (Robert Pattinson), a moody, directionless 21 year-old is auditing classes at NYU and working in a bookstore. He has had a strained relationship with his businessman father, Charles (Pierce Brosnan) since his brother Michael's suicide. Charles appears to lack concern for Tyler's younger sister, Caroline (Ruby Jerins), with whom Tyler is very close.

One night, Tyler and his troublemaking roommate Aidan (Tate Ellington) find themselves in trouble with Neil. Later, Aidan sees Neil dropping Ally off at NYU. He decides to retaliate against the detective by having Tyler sleep with and ultimately dump Ally. Tyler reluctantly agrees to meet her. After spending some time with Ally, the two bond over the losses in their pasts and begin to fall for each other. When Ally sleeps over at Tyler's house without informing her father, she and her father have a fight, ending with Neil hitting her. Ally then moves in with Tyler and Aiden. When Neil eventually visits, he recognizes Tyler and they fight furiously. Tyler provokes Neil by confessing to Aidan's ill-advised plan and his reason for meeting Ally which in turn forces Tyler to confess everything to Ally. She leaves him angrily and returns to her father's home. The couple remain alienated until Aidan visits her to explain that only he is to blame, and that Tyler was sincerely in love with her.

Shortly thereafter, Caroline gets teased by girls in her class who think she's "a freak of nature". One of the girls bullying her is portrayed by Peyton R. List. They cut her hair off at a birthday party and when they tease her in front of Tyler, he turns violent and ends up in jail once again. Some good comes out of this incident because afterwards Tyler and Charles begin to reconnect. Toward the end of the film, Charles asks Tyler to meet with lawyers at his office. Tyler looks out the window of his father's office over Manhattan, and as the camera view widens we see that he is in an office on the 88th floor of the World Trade Center. It is later revealed on a chalkboard in Caroline's school that the date is September 11, 2001. Subsequently, Tyler is killed by the terrorist attacks. A montage of all the characters including: Neil, Aiden, Caroline and Ally witnessing the disaster follows this scene.

After his death, short scenes of the main characters are shown around a year later, indicated by Caroline's long hair. One of which is Charles, Les, Diane, and Caroline standing around Tyler's tombstone, with an ingraving that reads "Loving Brother, Loving Son." In the end, Caroline and Charles seem to have a healthy father-daughter relationship. Aidan, who has since got a tattoo of Tyler's name on his arm, is working hard in school. The movie concludes with Ally finally taking the subway.

hello, September!

September came and it means that my sister will turn another year older. She decided to treat me so we went to SM Sta.Rosa to see a movie. Before we watched the movie we went to the grocery to buy some food. After getting enough food we hurried to the cashier to pay for it. While I was waiting for my sister, I saw this latest issue of Ok! magazine in the magazine stand beside the cashier. Guess who's the coverboy..It's Robert Pattinson :) too bad I didn't brought my wallet with me so I tried if my sister would buy me one. OMG she said yes! :)) whatta day. Imma so happy. Thanks to my sister !

when I'm bored

What am I doin' when I'm bored? I should say doing nonsense artworks. Hahaha! Why? Because I don’t get tired of doing those things; cutting papers, stick pictures, trace patterns, draw, and other things related to arts and crafts.

Why I called it nonsense artworks? Because I do them without any objectives, when I’m bored and there’s nothing to do, I usually sit at the corner of my room and think of something else until an idea pops in my head. When the things that are needed are already prepared, of course I immediately start and when I’m done doing it I just put it in the cabinet and leave it there.

I’m used to making my own presents for special occasions and I started practicing it since I was a child by simply doing greeting cards.

I lived by the name Yvette L. Portillo. I first saw the world on 4th of July 1995. I’m the result of the love of Fortunato P. Portillo Jr. and Arcadia L. Portillo. I live in Southville, Biñan, Laguna with my loving parents and only one sister. I’m the youngest in the family. I got my name from a TV show actress, who was popular in the late 80’s, I think. It’s very funny because the actress whom I got my name was a villain! hahaha!. I’m not that thin or fat, just right. I’m kind of tall person because my parents were also tall. My hair is black and my eyes are a little bit brownish.

What I love about myself is that I can easily laugh at my problems and I always try my best to find a solution to solve them. Hmm... You can always see me smiling but sometimes behind those smiles is the real me. Sometimes I try to hide my feelings and emotions because I don’t want other people to be affected. Most of the time, my emotions are always kept inside me and I can’t find a way to express them. But with the help of blogging, now I can easily express what I really feel.

i'm a sophomore!

A new start and a new life to begin.

Hey! I’m now a sophomore! Of course, First day came and I’m excited to see again my friends and old classmates (Viterbolz). To tell you the truth before the first day of school came, I’m not really happy to have my section (I even cried in my room) because first of all only four of my classmates last year are now my classmates again. Second, the students that I’ve always wanted to be my classmates are few in our section. Lastly, is that I really missed Mrs. Ty and my old classmates. But instead of feeling bad about it, I encouraged myself to be happy. Weeks have passed and wow! I didn’t expect that I’ll have so much fun in our section. With just a week I am able to make friends with some of my classmates and until now I’m still working on it. I was surprised to see that most of my classmates are gifted. There are those who are good in singing, sports, arts, dancing, playing musical instruments, and even photography! Wow! What a great section XD.

What I loved about my classmates is that they are very friendly. By the way, our adviser is Mrs. Norvi Lebanan. She’s a cool teacher and she always makes us laugh. This school year I’m trying to change my study habits and also to improve more my skills in arts especially in drawing. Even though we are the last section, I know that we can face all the challenges with the help of everyone’s cooperation. :]

freshmen memories

I started studying at Colegio San Agustin-Biñan when I was in first year high school. That time I experienced many things and most of my firsts happened. It was first day of school and I was partly excited and nervous if how am I going to live in this institution. My section was Blessed James of Viterbo. When I went to our classroom I was surprised to see that all of my classmates are also new students.

Then our adviser opened the door and introduced herself to us, her name is Mrs. Leticia Ty and we call her Mrs. Ty. She’s a great adviser and the whole school year won’t be complete without her! We love it when she laughs with our jokes and when she tells us stories that actually came from her experiences. We’ve learned many things from her and we will keep that forever in our minds and hearts.

At the end of the school year it was truly amazing how our friendship with each other grew stronger. Almost all of us cried and it is like we want to stay together forever. We have been to many challenges and rumors but nothing can break the strong bonding between us that makes us a true member of the Viterbolz 08-09 (Bl.James of Viterbo). :D
